Independent Advisory Groups give communities a structured way to provide advice, insight and constructive challenge to policing.
What IAGs do
Members can provide community perspectives on policing issues, policy, engagement and the effect of policing activity on different communities.
What IAGs are not
IAG membership is advisory. It does not confer police powers, operational authority or access beyond the approved role.
Taking part
When an IAG is seeking members, HIOWC publishes the eligibility, expectations, safeguards and application or expression-of-interest arrangements.
Current opportunities
Only opportunities shown on Vacancies are open for application. An information page does not mean recruitment is open.
