Community Speedwatch is a community participation activity supporting local work around speeding concerns.
Taking part
Participation, training and local arrangements are published when an approved scheme is operating and accepting volunteers.
What the scheme does
Community Speedwatch supports local engagement and education around speeding concerns through an approved community scheme.
Volunteer role
Participants work within the scheme instructions and training. They do not become police officers and must not act outside the approved activity.
Information handling
Any information collected through the scheme must be handled using the authorised process and for the purpose for which it was collected.
Local availability
A scheme may operate only in selected areas or at selected times. HIOWC publishes the route to take part where an approved scheme is active.
Current opportunities
Only opportunities shown on Vacancies are open for application. An information page does not mean recruitment is open.
